Lori Jenssen is the Executive Director of the New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association and the New Jersey Forestry Association. She is also on the board of the New Jersey Green Industry Council. She holds an MPA from Rutgers University and has over 20 years of non-profit management experience.
Her entrance into the world of non-profit management began with volunteer service for a national organization. The ability to “make a difference” was so enticing, she decided to make a career out of it! During her tenure with NJNLA, the association began producing a consumer-facing television program called “Growing Green”, has reinvigorated their Women in Horticulture Program and annually produces over 45 education sessions for the Northeast’s largest landscape trade show & conference, Total Pro Expo.
The best part of the job, according to Lori, is the interaction and relationships that have been built with the members. “We all share the same passion for the environment and the landscape”, says Jenssen, “and we love what we do!”
