The future of your business depends on your participation and support of local and state organizations like NJGIC. Getting involved is critical in helping to make sure laws and regulations based in fear and ignorance don’t get passed. NJGIC works to make sure your voice matters in maintaining business practices based on long-term experience, sound university research, and common sense.
As a member, you have the advantage of a full-time government relations staff working for you. The NJGIC Legislative Committee consistently monitors, analyzes and works with our lobbyists on your behalf concerning proposed legislation, regulatory code provisions and policy affecting green industry professionals and businesses in the state.
NJGIC members have a direct voice in setting legislative policy by participating on our Legislative Committee or on NJGIC issue specific Task Forces. Allied associations have a voice by serving on our Board of Directors. All industry members are encouraged to be advocates for the issues that impact their industry and businesses. NJGIC encourages you to become familiar with your legislators, meet with them to build relationships and to educate them about the green industry.
All NJGIC members are kept abreast of legislative events and our progress during the legislative session through our meetings, newsletters, and special broadcast Action Alerts on emergent issues in the state.
