Chris Sherrington is the Technical Director for the Lawn Doctor franchise under Happinest brands responsible for overseeing training and agronomic support for 230 franchise locations across 40 states. Chris was appointed as Vice Presentient of the New Jersey Green Industry Council board member in 2021, and currently serves on the, National Association of Landscape professionals Government Affairs Council, and Sustainability Committee. He is passionate about educating advocacy groups, and legislators on public policy and protecting the rights of licensed professionals in the state of New Jersey.
Chris studied Turfgrass Science and Ecology at the University of Central Lancashire, England, where he completed a degree/certification in Sports Turf Management in 2009. He started his career as a Greenskeeper at Sunningdale Golf Club in Surry England. Chris moved to the United Sates in 2010, as a student of the Ohio State International Internship Program. The program offered him the opportunity to gain experience at some of the best golf clubs in the world, including hosting major televised golf championships.
Chris resides in Keyport, NJ with his wife Lindsay. They have two children, Sophia and Scarlett and enjoy sailing, biking, golf and outdoors.
